Beat Review Japhia Life’s Westside Pharmacy
Overall: 4 out of 5
Track 2 – Pitchfork (2 out of 5)
The sound selection for this composition was not as appealing, but the drum pattern picked up the slack for bad sound selection. The Producer some some stretch with arrangement but the production left nothing new for the ear.
Track 3 – Last Night (3 out of 5)
This composition was well arranged and was uniquely wrapped around the emotion of the song, but lack drum presence. The Beat all in all was totally fitted for this lyrical content.
Track 4 – Lifey’s Revenge (3 out of 5)
This Track has crazy energy, lacing our ears with menacing Guitars and deep Kicks, its not really built around arrangement but well orchestrated thru drop-outs and add ons.
Track 6 – I’m a Mess (3 out of 5)
This Composition has great sound selection & Arrangement, drums lack aggression but have great in and out of effects.
Track 7 – Cold Blood (3 out of 5)
Lots of drums to this beat, great effects but the mixes doesn’t leave any room for the instrumentation… Great Arrangements but with the clouded beat you can really enjoy the well arrange Composition.
Track 8 – Full Moon (4 out of 5)
The sound selection was great… The live sound is masterful & the composition was well arranged, the instrumental follows the emotion of the song really well. Very Dope!
Track 10 – Dime (4 out of 5)
A Classic Break Loop always wins, the guitars are on point, the arrangement is mean and the octave switch gives the orchestration of this composition a major lift… Great production but I wish the the kick hit a little harder, all in all a great beat.
Track 11 – Pimp (4 out of 5)
Love the creativity on this cut, but drums lack presence and arrangement … but the color of the composition is still infectious!!!!!
Track 12 – Dealin (3 out of 5)
Drums are the killer if murder was the case, great organ riffs but the arrangement lacks transition.
Track 13 – Cloud (4 out of 5)
Another Vintage composition… the vintage ravaging sounds paint a colorful picture for its listeners, the only negative is the the lack of arrangement.
Track 14- Letter To Lindsay (4 out of 5)
This Track has a great sound selection and is well arranged… the emotion of the track is perfect for Japhia’s stories of his past life. Great Production.
Track 15 – Small World (4 out of 5)
Another composition with good sounds, good arrangement and good emotion… awesome cut
Track 16 – The Exercise (4 out of 5)
This beat is thumping but lacks orchestration… the arrangement is good and sound selection is strong to me the beat was an arrangement from being a 5 out of 5.
Track 17 – The Realest (4 out of 5)
This tracks sounds selection was good and the drums are crispy… the orchestration is subtlest but the instrumentals arrangement is not as strong as I would have hoped.
Track 18 – I Will Watch You (4 out of 5)
Another dope cut with smacking drums… but never reaches any points of arrangement
