Whats good Dwyane! Thank you for taking the time to chop it up with me! TDot is in the

Lol yes sir

Could you tell the readers who you are and what you do?

B. Johnson
I am saved by grace baby… My name is Dwyane Johnson real name no gimmicks. I also go by
name Beatz Johnson. I’m a producer, beatmaker, writer, rapper and A & R. I’m connected to
the Role Model Records family. I’m a husband to a loving wife .. a father to awesome son.

Jack of all trades and a family man huh? Thats good. Last time I saw some RMR artists
perform was at a show in TDot called Hark last May I think. Big ups 2 my compadre Dru Bex!
How long have you been producing for?

B. Johnson
I’ve “playing” around with making beats since I was 16 years old. Started to become serious
around 2004-2005.

How did you get into production?

B. Johnson
I’ll never forget I was at a friend’s house and I was using the computer and then I
stumbled across ” fruity loops” it was version 2. My beats sounded like European techno and
we used to laugh but inside I knew I fell in love with making beats. Ever since the age of

Oh snap lol FL Studio 2? I got started on FL Studio 7! Who have you worked with and who
would you say are your influences production wise?

B. Johnson
My influences are Dr. Land.. lol Timbaland & Dr Dre…Scott Storch.. a lot of people don’t
know he made allot beats with Dre n Timbo, Neptunes (Pharell & Chad), Dj Khalil, Nottz,
Boi1da (Toronto), T-Minus (Toronto). I’ve worked with Christon Gray, Dwayne Tryumf, Julien
from RMR, Shope from RMR, Boogie aka Giangelo (Formerly of RMR), D.A. JAY a reggae artist,
Purpose, Promise.

What can we see from you in the future? Both production and as an a and r?

B. Johnson
You have to stay tuned…a lot of growth and restructuring is taking place..2015-2016 Lord
willing would be different.

I see….any advice you would like to give to an upcoming producers or potential A&Rs?

B. Johnson
Learn your art…study the art of producing. Ask questions, be open for advice and even
criticism. Set the trends, don’t follow them. Humble yourself before God let him lead you.

Surround yourself with the rite team. Seek ..Ask…Knock…The door shall be opened.
Have determination and reach out to people who are doing the same things. Get tips and take
advice. Best tools are Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Google+.
